Sinéad is a singer, songwriter, and facilitator from Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. Her writing has been described as reflective, full of soul and thoughtfulness and she is particularly drawn to covering old time folk and trad songs.
Sinéad has recently completed recording her debut solo mini album/ EP titled ‘four o’clock & moonflower’. She also facilitates groups to sing and engages her community to gather and sing, just for the goodness of it. Her educational and professional background in psychology and mental health informs her writing and her work with groups and with individuals.
Prior to lock down, as a group work and one to one training and rehabilitation facilitator, Sinéad worked with adults with a broad range of psychological and social challenges. Sinéad is also a childrens book author, composing and publishing the Smelly Adams children’s song book during the latter half of 2022. Following lockdown, she decided to blend her skills, experience and education and start her own business. As well as her group and one to one work Sinéad creates, hosts and performs music for events and functions, anything from intimate celebrations to art festivals and she especially enjoys collaborating with other creators and artists. Sinead is founder and host of Teach na Sean Ghaeilge (Old Irish House) NIghts in The Himalayan Café at The Cathedral Quarter Letterkenny - this is a community-focused gathering around the symbolic hearth.
